Overview

With El Salvador International Airport on hand then join us at the marina  as we prepare to cruise our way up the coast of Brazil.  Its carnival week at the end of February so we are sure to be wowed by the eye catching celebrations of multicoloured parades and pageants with plenty of dancing and singing by all as we hop our way north.  We finish our Brazil adventure in Cabadelo where we meet up with our other World Arc adventurers and set sail on the 1330NM (6-9 day) passage to Devils Island.  At first glance this looks like a paradise dotted with palm trees and surrounded by sparkling waters but its beauty belies the horrific truth.  This was the most feared prison in modern history.  From 1852 to 1953 tens of thousands of inmates perished on this penal colony from malnutrition, disease and futile escape attempts.  We leave the horrific tales behind and cruise across the Caribbean waters to Grenada.  A 4 to 6 day passage.  We say our farewells at St George’s
